I've been going to this place since it opened and I'm very fond of it. They do good (but not great) Illy coffee, a nice selection of teas and an interesting selection of well-executed cakes/pastries.
I've enjoyed most things from the eat-in menu, especially the breakfasts.
The decor is cute, too.
There are very few nice places to eat or get coffee on Ladbroke Grove, so Tea's Me gets an extra half star for filling a gap. -

Popped in for a brunch after tennis as it is having just moved to the area. The coffee was ok, and had a French toast with delicious bacon. Whilst the quality of the food is good I felt the prices were a little on the high side, quaint decor notwithstanding. Being off the beaten track down a side street it needs to get locals to become regular, so hoping the coffee improves and some slightly less pricey options are added.

Fortunately the really quite crap name of this café is hidden in fairly illegible writing on the big white awning outside this place. Actually largely due to the stupid hidden name the outside is quite appealing, there's a few chairs and no stupid promotional promises about having the best coffee east of the originating tree in the Amazon.
Inside they do lunch, all good homemade stuff and breakfasts too. There is only one big wooden table in the middle of the room so the feel is definitely someone's kitchen and not their business. I wouldn't go with groups because you can't really sit down very comfortably - in fact the less people the better. Totally unintimidating to be alone here so I'd say that's your best bet. Good coffee and comfortable setting. -

Off the beaten track and rather unexpected Looking down the ugly cul-de-sac this little cafe is located in, you'd expect a greasy spoon. Instead, you find a lovely little haven with trendy wallpaper and designer furniture.
The description above mentions a Portuguese influence - I didn't really notice this. We popped in for a light lunch on Saturday and enjoyed our sandwiches - until we received the bill. £17 for two sandwiches and two teas is just a little bit steep.
The food was lovingly presented and I loved the fact they serve tea (leaves, in china pots) with brown rock candy which makes a wonderful sound when the hot tea is poured onto it. However, two slices of toast with some spinach leaves and a poached egg on the side don't amount to Eggs Florentine!
The perfect first impression was sadly spoilt, but I might give it another try. -

I actually don't have a problem with the name of this shop, I feel like the owner's tongue was placed firmly in cheek when he came up with it, and I'm quite keen on being teased a little now and then I have to say.
This beautiful place is housed in an old Portuguese cafe with vaulted ceilings and the redesign has not detracted from its simplistic charm: a large central table is finished off with a wonderful chandelier and designer chairs. I had a great cup of Illy coffee in here but decided against the Portuguese food as it was a little on the steep side. That said, it is very homely and the set up makes it a very social experience.
